But pd doesn't offer 16 as a block size option. There are alot of example files for Max and how to use it. Since 64 doesn't divide 1008, I think I need to use a block size smaller than that (16 would work, since 1008 = 16圆3). And include the Max external TUIO11MaxMSP.zip into your patch. Then all software that feeds data into JACK must use a block size so that 1008/(software block size) is an integer, or else horrible distortion results. I've been using pd over ALSA, which has good enough sound quality, but it's a real hassle: I have to kill PulseAudio and then make sure that pd is the only audio application running. I'm in a bit of a bind right now with PureData on a new ThinkPad (running Debian as operating system).
